HTC Losing Ground to its Main Rival Samsung


Taiwanese company HTC, one of the early market leaders in android based smartphones has lost its market share to rivals Samsung in recent years.

According to a research firm Gartner, the company global share of the smartphone market declined to 2.2% in third quarter of 2013 from 10.3% two year earlier.

HTC net profit in fourth – quarter were 300m Taiwan dollar ($10m) compared to 1bn Taiwan dollar in the same period last year….this profit figure also include one-time gain from selling its stake.

Though company has launch HTC One to regain some of the lost ground but new products are yet to be paying off for the HTC.

    Samsung has gone up buddy, I remember once Nokia was leading all its way but see now its Samsung, yet I love apple, I use iPhone and fond of it only.
